My first Ford EVER

First off, hey I am Preston and live in Washington near Seattle. I traded my car for this truck, a 1993 Ford Ranger XL 3.0 V6 2WD, mainly because I really just needed a truck for my job, but after driving it and having it for about 10 days now, its really growing on me!

It looks REALLY nice for a '93 and runs just as good. There are a few things I need to fix and some parts I really want to HOPEFULLY get MPG, Performance, and a longer life out of it. So I will be browsing the forums hoping to find what I need, though google hasn't turned anything up so *fingers crossed*.

Welcome! You're lucky living out that area instead of the rust belt like a lot of us, trucks don't last too long. Good section down below for the 3.0L question.

Ahoy Preston! Welcome to TRS, and congratulations on your first Ranger. I'm on my second one and loving it. My first had the (1991) 3.0 and I enjoyed 15 years of pretty reliable service from it with no rebuilds. Just treat it right and remember what it is and you'll hopefully have similar results. Plenty of advice, encouragement and knowledge to be found here.
