i have 65lb fuel pressure. will idle but acts like it is not getting fuel when i touch the gas pedal. thought it was bad gas so i drained the tank and new filter, but no change.

go ahead and get the bed off.. Spray the bolts from the bottom with some type of lube. They are very tight and hard to move even to the last thread.

Check the throttle position sensor before taking the bed off.

Did I miss something he said he already checked it the tank and pump I presume.

Check the throttle position sensor before taking the bed off.

Also check your maf, carb, etc dunno the year or engine you hand I'm on tapatalk

Yeah sounds like mass air flow or throttle possion sensor. Is the truck thowing a engine light? Cus that will give you a better insight to where to start looking.

The OP posted on another site also. Had a lot more info over there. Thats why I came up with strainer. But also could be the TPS.
My pump had almost 80 psi but was clogged and would bogg motor down if I touched throttle.

The simple fact that he has 65 PSI fuel pressure should tell you he doesn't have a carb.

Also, the thread title says "edge" which makes it a post 2000 V6.

I changed the MAF and TPS with same results . Still doing the same, will not take any throttle and rough idle

Take a picture of the inside of the tank. Cause thats what is next...

Mine did that once, Adsm08 told me to clean the IAC... at the time I was thinking BS, but he was right- I cleaned it and it fixed it- never had another minute's trouble out of it since then. Rough idle, some black smoke, I could use maybe 10% of the throttle or it wouldn't run, and sometimes wouldn't stay running without the pedal pushed down a bit- and the IAC had been cleaned like a year earlier. Wasn't even that dirty IIRC but it fixed it permanently. Try cleaning that sob.

i cleaned the iac and replaced the fuel pump assy, tps, maf, and fuel filter, still no good, any help would be great full

someone told me it could be the crank sensor, is that possible? it wants to stall as soon as i touch the throttle. thanks for any help at all. i am going nuts with this SOB.

usually the CPS would throw a code if it were bad. I've seen this problem in the old days when carbs and distributors were the norm, and back then it was a bad coil or shorting coil wire. Had enough to run but not enough to provide any power. I'm thinking it would throw a P0300 code if that were the case here, but wouldn't hurt to check grounds and look for bad connections/melted wires and such

can anyone help? i'm still stumped. my 2003 edge will idle but wont take throttle. wants to die when i touch the gas. i have changed the maf,tps fuel pump, filter, cleaned the iac, i get no engine codes. i changed all the fuel thinking bad gas, but nothing has fixed it. i'm going nuts, thanks, for any help at all.

A long shot, but check the EGR valve. With it idling, pull a vacuum on it and it should stumble and cut off if working properly. A large vacuum leak might cause your problem also.
