my dual battery install!

I wish mine were like that, lol....i have to move that stupid tank (washer fluid / rad overflow) to get the 2nd bat in.

thanks for the comments. Yeah I lucked out with that space there, but just get creative ;)

hey. so i just picked up a airbox and coolant tank like yours. but idk if anyone else has tried this on a 97. but i have a/c and i think the blower box may be in the way? and the a/c lines? idk its a close call. any info will help. i think i am also going to just tear it all apart and try it that way too....

i see that by now it has been a while since you installed your dual batts. it looks clean! but are you happy with it after a couple months now? im thinking of doing the same thing so i was just wondering if you hit any snags or would have done anything differently?

a 9klbs winch?! what you gonna need that much pull for?! o_0

mainly i was just wondering if you fried your alt. yet

Hey just noticed your reply.

It has been about 6 months since the install, and it is still better than ever. I run my 9000 lb winch, and 3 100w lights and it runs flawlessly. There have been ZERO problems with the charging system. The 95 amp alternator in our trucks is more than capable. I would HIGHLY recommend adding another battery to your truck.

Even with a ranger, I would recommend AT LEAST an 8000 pound winch. Your rig may only weigh 3-4000 pounds, but when your stuck, add a whole lot more load to that. Plus its nice being able to pull out full size rigs.

The rule of thumb is that you want: truck weight x 2 = winch pull rating.
