I don't have photos of all of them yet. In fact, just one. But this one is my favorite die cast car I own. It has felt for carpet, and actually has plug wires. The tires are rubber. It also has an antenna, which I failed to put in before I snapped the photos. It's a little dusty..... oops.

Stay tuned for some more.

Man, I want that. I also really want to get the SVO diecast model. Is that a 1970 Boss 302 I spy in the background?

The 85 GT isn't 100% accurate, but it's still awesome. They put 86+ exhaust on it. The 85's did not have true dual exhaust. The brake fluid reservoir is also metal on 85's, and maybe even 86's. I don't believe Ford went to the plastic reservoir until 87. It also has EFI valve covers. The 85's were finned and say "Powered by Ford".

Yes sir. That's my second favorite. I need to go buy a can or two of the compressed air. These things are dusty as hell!

That’s really cool and I’ve got cars from classic to the newest.

These aren't part of my die cast collection, but part of my Mustang memorabilia I've got. I've also got a 69 Boss 429 brochure if anyone is interested. I've got a 97 Stang brochure, and a 97 Thunderbird brochure as well.

Shane, what scale are those models and from whom? I've got a bunch (55+) from Danbury Mint and Franklin Mint in 1/24, all Fords. Got three nice 1/18 scale from Revell. Scares me to think about what money invested in them.

Dave, the 85 GT is 1/18 scale and made by GMP (Georgia Marketing Products). The 70 Boss 302 is also 1/18 scale and was made by ERTL.

Kinda off topic, did they only use those valve covers for '85? Happen to have any pics? I would LOVE to have a set of aluminum valve covers that only say "Power By Ford"

I am also a big fan of the dual snorkel air filter housing, them things are worth some money though and I am not really sure how it would work in a Ranger.

I don't have any pics of mine. I wasn't so pic happy back then, so I only have pics of the car, but no engine. Here's what they looked like:

EDIT: They ran them 1983-1985.

Thanks, now I gotta keep an eye out for a set. :icon_thumby:

I love the 80's mustangs.

I love your 89.

My dream Mustang is a 1988 Mustang LX Hatchback.

Thank you. I am a huge fox body fan as well. Those 88's are pretty special. They always seemed a little more spunky than other years.

Sent while I should be doing something else
