Build Day 8
On today's agenda was shock towers, bump stops, and pinion angle; got brake lines done too!
Since I had my truck sitting as low as it ever would again it would be a good time to make bump stops so I don't destroy anything in the future. I measured from the top of my coil buckets to the base on the axle coil mounts and made my bump stop tubes that long plus added the poly bump stop.

I had some left over DOM and used that, a bit extreme some may say but, it will never break.

I will mount them when I install my new coils. Ordered those last night along with a Bomb Proof Trac-Bar and mount from Jester Off-Road.
As one of you said about suspension geometry; this trac-bar will allow me to keep both my steering link and trac-bar parallel to help in handling. Also I do plan on adding extra re-enforcement to the frame by adding a cross-member in-front of the engine utilizing my old sway bar mounts so that it is removable in-case I have to work on the front of the motor while its in the truck.
Shock towers were also done at this time do to it being so low, I measured my shocks fully compressed and added 2"s for safety of damaging them and set my towers at that measurement from the mount of the axle up.

HolyFord86 stopped in and gave me a hand in setting my pinion angle by adjusting my long arms I got from Iron Man Fab. Set Caster at about 5 and some change and pinion angle looks good too.

Doing some odds and ends tomorrow, plating the frame for the steering box and waiting for parts too. Will be back with updates.
