Finished the otherside of the front end last night, and took it for a little jump. love how its handling! Cant wait to get the rear shocks in, the back end is currently a bit squirrely with the rancho's and deavers.
What a day... started at 11am, just got home, its now 11:44.
axle is swapped, new seals, had to use the stock bearings and stockpinion seal. the kit that was ordered didnt fit the pinion i had... OH WELL.
Axle is locked, new brakes are on, there is a bit of work to do before its ready, but ill do it tomorrow after work. What a long day....here the only shots i have.
Alright, this weekend was very busy, BUT, i managed to get a solid 10 hours into the bedcage. ****, this thing was a nightmare to make work, and im still not sure how well its gonna do, but its together, and it feels solid.
First up as designing it it and coming up with an idea. i want to add some gussets later down the road, but this should be just fine for the light use it will see this summer.
I did everything by eye and by hand, with a sawzall, angle grinder, zip disc, tape measure and flux core welder. getting some of these copes right was a royal PITA.
Truck made it back without issue. Uniballs have gotten worse, and will need replacing pretty soon. IM considering a cheap DD for the winter, s the cost of losing the shocks and uniballs to salt isnt worth it in my books.
