Well... two more SHO's.
My fathers vehicle.
One space rented to an elderly neihbor.
And three spots rented to another car buff neihbor.
The last bay was converted to a showroom by my father for his wood creations.
I'd like to use his spot as a heated detail bay.
The side opposite the garage doors has shop space the entire length, about 10' x 70'.
And we have some second floor space, but not enough.

Here are two close ups showing the condition of the paint.
As you can see, it's been neglected for over a year.

And here's a spot that I wet sanded with 1,000 grit.
Guess the camera didn't have much to focus on.
Anyways, you get the idea.

wow, what kind of camera is that?

and nice results. wet sanding can do wonders to revive weathered paint. you should consider yourself lucky to have a gen2 with that good of paint on it. seems the gen 1 and 2 trucks rust and oxydize pretty fast.

It's an 7 year old Kodak 3.0 mp with a close up lense.
It takes great close ups.
And lucky not to have clear coat.

Here's the wheels I decided on.
Mustang V6, 16 x7".

I test fit them today.
They fit fine but the wheel center hub is too small at the end to fit over the hub.
This causes the wheel to be about 1/8" from seating properly.
Otherwise the offset and back spacing is perfect.

looks good. are you going to machine the wheels or use wheel spacers? (id prefer the former).

I'm unsure, but am leaning towards machining the wheel or the Ranger hub.
I tried fitment on the rear today.
No problems at all.
They seat completely.

Here's what I'm getting Fri.
1990 2.9 AOD 4x4.
This will be my daily driver.
And parts hauler for the SHO-NUP.

That truck has an A4LD, not an AOD.

That BII has an A4LD, not an AOD.

I pretty sure that is a genII ranger ext cab, with a camper shell.

O and good luck on the build. I loved my SHO when I had it and I really kinda wish I would have kept it, but when I have 6 other cars I really didn't need another money whore. Just remeber that SHO stands for Shit Happens Often.

Does that mean I'm correct with 'AOD' ?
I'm still learning the Ranger stuff.
And I have 6 SHO's, so ... well 'nuff said.

No, it's still an A4LD. Even though AOD stands for Automatic Over Drive, they are different transmissions.

AOD was used on F series trucks and full size Bronco, until it gave way to the AOD-E. A 3 speed auto plus overdrive, like the A4LD, but not the same.
