goodyear # 60893 is one that can be cut to fit especially when combined with a moroso type inline drain or exaust piping
61259 can be combined with it in some cases
i like putting the radiator as far forward as possible and having them as large as possible as it really makes routing hose much cheaper and easier along with having max cooling potential.
I got a stock lower radiator hose for a 2.9L with a manual. I have another straight piece that's 1-1/2", but widens to 1-3/4" to fit my water pump. I'm going to splice them together with a section of 1-1/2" exhaust pipe. I have the parts. Just haven't done it. Been taking the suspension out of TRS-1 for Vanessa's truck.
However, I made progress today. I bought (4) new seats from a newer wrecked vehicle for the Bronco II. They're like new. The driver seat is power. I'm picking them up tomorrow morning. To dang hot to take them out today.
Also, I'm documenting all the work and details of my build here:
And using this thread for the discussion. Keep checking that page for more details and photos. As the truck progresses it will be easier for people to follow than searching through a bunch of forum pages to see all the photos.
just found this thread today, looks intrsting, ive thought about a BII before, dad breifly had a early one with a 2.8, i liked that galaxy dash pictured early on in the thread, that would be neat to do along with round headlights to make it look like a early bronco frontend.
It's finally painted. It's still in parts, but they're all painted. I'm really happy with the way it came it. It's nice, straight and smooth. It seems like I spent forever sanding on this thing.
Nice Jim, paint came out rally good glad to see it's still a 1st gen. Looks like you've got it but if you ever need help with any thing let me know. Especially over the holidays when I'm off work for shut down. We could use another road trip and besides I owe you one.
