My Bronco II!!

DSC_0138.jpg

This seems stupid.

I was doing a bunch of searching and found that photo above of a 5.0L in an early Mustang. That upper hose is the lower hose to a manual transmission Bronco II. It looks like the shape I need...but will probably be a 1.5" ID.

i've seen those used w/ good success

edit: the flexy thing mn_smokeater posted.

Well,

I'm off to lose sleep over this.

the reducer looks good. dang them Rad hoses are spendy!!

will the end of the stanless hose hook up to rubber?

ahhh... but the colored flexy hose is cooler!!! come on JIM!!!! lol

Here's a peek at what I've got in there now:

I have a lot more hooked up than that now. Note the oil cooler with the fan mounted to it on the drivers inner fender. Fits like it's meant to be there.

Wow jim it looks great now, the motor was looking nice when i was over. I also like were you placed the oil cooler nice spot out of the way. I should be buying this f150 here soon with graduation party money so once i get it ill have to come out and check out the progress on the b2 or help you out on finishing her up.

A stock lower radiator hose for a 2.9L manual is the perfect shape, but the end that attaches to the water pump is too small. The 2.9L water pump has a 1.5" fitting and the V8 water pump has a 1.75" fitting. I may have to cut the end of the hose off and attach a 1.5" hose to it that has the 1.75" end.

use a piece of exaust adapter jim.

you can cut a eb hose? what about a mustang 2. usually a 150 lower cut works ok, i dont remember that radiators exact setup though.

seems 70's ltd hose was a nice cut to fit as well.

with going for a show look the cool flex thing is ideal upper and lower...

What year F150? The radiator fitting points straight out. Doesn't angle down.

Jim im thinking.... going to make a ms paint and try to see if it makes sense. stay tuned
