here's a message from a local jeeper. she's a great person, wife of the builder of my bumper and wants metal cloaks..

So rotated my tires this morning-- which I hate the idea of bc that stupid ttb is not aligned. Talked to Gateway tire- they said they have a guy that can do it. $49.99 unless it needs cam sleeves then it's an extra $100 or so.. Wtf?

Ditch the ttb, SAS it and align it yourself.

You are rockin a D35 right? Its easy to align it. The D28 was a pos to align for me.

actually i have a d28... and ditching the ttb is the plan but i can't afford everything yet. i gotta make a junkyard run soon to try to save some money and get some stuff for the d30.

my plan for now is to look up some info see if i can get it a little better in alignment by myself (no costs!), if not-- screw it, let it eat up the (good) 30's and after the sas i'm going 33's so f' it! lol... idk, i'm broke and its pissing me off. today is my cuss TTB day!

got my $9 LEDs from eBay yesterday. hope to get them in tonight or tomorrow.. see what happens. ordering my johnny joints next week probably. gonna see if Spyder OffRoad here local can get them in. 4 joints. next comes JY shopping for some d30 parts.

sooooo...i read some misleading info. i got some blue LEDs in my dash, no biggie. they are alright. still not that bright but okay. i like it.. there's a dim spot around 55 mph's tho. idk.

but the light in the floor shifter is a DIFFERENT bulb, not what i read in another thread here. and also i don't have a clue how to change the lights in the climate control.. after i found out it wasn't as easy as i thought i quit for the night, didn't even look at the overhead console... i gotta do some more research! lol

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, leds have a more concentrated light so there may be a dim spot in the middle lol.

yeah. that's fine. i'm gonna rock it for now. but i gotta get the "mini" 194 (?) for the gear shifter.. idk the bulb number. and i gotta swap out my overhead console and hvac (still gotta look and figure that one out)

finally got my 2 meter antenna back on, got the correct base for it
as you can tell in the background-- we have antennas EVERYWHERE. we are called the Mars Station by the neighborhood kids lol

and just b/c i can take pics!

also found a place in my slider that needs a lil patch of weld.. i'll address that next time at the shop.

Check your Toe in... You shouldnt be wearing your tires unless your Toe is off...

It's wearing them on the outside. Idk. I think some of the issue is that my tires lean when turned? The steering ain't aligned with the axle beams making the tires lean when turned. But I know nothing about aligning a ttb.... I've read the stuff a couple times. Thinking about just trying it myself see what happens

i wanna do some cheap mods to my truck.. idk what tho. something i can do for cheap.

i guess i could put my new dash in
clean it up real good
make my template for my rear bumper- since i still have some of the steel left over. all i might need is the 2 inch stuff. its only $18 a stick. just buy the stuff for the tire carrier later.
mount my roof rack? idk if i'm going to or not.
if i could sell my subs i'd build my new custom box.. but no one wants my kickers.


any ideas on cheap upgrades?

maybe start cleaning up that dana 30 get it painted and such.. i dunno. im at the same point. im waiting on one part that stops all other progress, and trying to keep busy

I hear a Lincoln locker is cheap
