hmm i take it they REALLY dont want anyone in the area/on the lake at this time.

RR company has lots of equipment back there.. some stuff was stolen, so they added more barricade stuff.. who knows? idk.... i just don't go past the barricade. b/c they've been known to arrest people no questions asked.
i just wanted something to shine the lights on, and a mark on the road so i can park in the same place later. my front tire is even w/ the first RR white line on the road.

its not any place for the general public idiot to be right now. still demolition debris from tearing down the flooded buildings. and lots of other just lake debris still out down there.

Is that where you got your new shackles from ?

i logging company up here just had 3 piecies of equipment burst into flames bout 30 mins after they started them (all on the same day). highly suspect tree huggers did it as they are logging a highly controversial area. which is the sight of a new mining operation. now a sheriff patrols the area 24/7 mind you this is about an hour away from the nearest ANYTHING aside from the mine. it would be a fun job for a week or two. but the huggers are all over the area up there now. never saw a soul a year or two ago. give them somthing gripe about and they come outta the woodwork.

With my current light setup, I dont even haved to use my bright lights, they dont do any good anymore. All I can say is bring on the darkness.

i run all my foward lights off relay's triggered by the high beams so i can controll them all with the flick of the high beam switch. i also have the the ground for each realay toggled in the cab so I do have the ability of switching them off individually. i just really enjoy beign able to shut them ALL down in one quick easy to find flip of the factory switch and back on just as quickly. when are you really gonna use aux forward lighting and not have your highbeams on ? I also have a jumper thru a relay so when my highs are on it also triggers my facotry lows as well. youde be amazed at how much more light you get by doing so.

yeah i'm gonna wire mine w/ the brights i think.. this time.
the ground coming inside the cab is a good idea, i could use just my highs...

now w/ it wired that way is there a way to use just the HIDs w/out the highs? idk why i'd ever need to? lol.

first i'm just gonna get the HID conversion finished.. then worry about how i'll wire them for sure.

not unless you ran an alternate trigger. however once you hit your highs you would prolly have some issues since it'll be backfeeding down your alternate. maybe run a relay for brights so that once you flip the switch in the cab (factory highs) it energizes the brights. and then run your ground into the cab so you can cut the power to you high beam relay as well. sounds like it would be gettin a little complicated tho. VERY seldom do I ever want to run my highs and not the forward aux lights tho. the switch barely ever get's used. there is no max candlepower or wattage for lights up here. the only law is a max of 4 white lights (illuminated) on the front of a vehicle. so technically i run 6 when i have my highs on since it is my high's/lows/and offroad lights but the chances of them knowing the my highs and lows are illuminated at the same time is slim to none

in all reallity you would technically be tapping into the factory harness the same amount of time's only differentce would be the bright positive would trigger a relay that closes contacts for your low's and your highs. which would be ran off the same contact (NO contact). right now i just tap inline for a trigger wire heat shrink back over and let the bright wire continue on its factory path. then just tie the low into the NO contact (if that makes any sense)

yeah i'll probably just wire mine like yours.. minus the hi/low together thing... i'm gonna wire the chevy like that tho...

that way i can run my HIDs w/ my high beams. that'll work fine i think... i gotta see just how bright these are gonna be... i kinda like my low beams working off road, since they give more light right in front of me... so hey, wiring the hi/lows together like yours would fix that! lol..

Picked up a set of jeep TJ quick disco's. They should work great. Will let me take the sway bar drop brackets off and mount the sway bar back in the stock location and will give me quick disco's. I lost the pin to one of my home brew ones so I just took the other one out. For now my sway bars not connected. No big deal with tho RC coils tho. Lol. But I'll want it when I put in the xj coils.

looking like i wont be runnin a sway bar on the splody. it hit's the trac bar bracket and would need to be about another 12'' wider to fit.

I took my sway bar out right after I bought her. Didn't put it back in until I installed the XJ coils. Even with my 6" SJ's it was fine.

yeah i def don't need it w/ the RC coils... but will put it on w/ the xj coils.

it's gonna take some minor mods to make it work since the TJ sway bar is slightly different. but mainly b/c of how it mounts to the axle.

well the ddm kit aint in yet........... e-mailed them tonight.

my next upgrade? making my truck not sound like tweety bird w/ an "upgraded" belt.. hahahaha idk, advance auto was out of the cheaper belt so i got the one that was $4 more..

other than that.. i'm gonna make a set of
tjxjzj_01.jpg

work on a b2 w/ a ttb front axle..... what am i thinking????!!!! lol
jks disconnects for a jeep tj.. got them in a trade deal i worked up.

that's till whenever i get around to gettin' my 8.8 in. :Heated: :Heated:
senior year of Ole Miss is kicking my butt right now and taking all my time away...i'm just gonna do the jks b/c it'll be quick and easy and i've had other people asking me about it since i've mentioned it before.

sooo... you want to rid your truck of a squeaking belt but were gonna throw the cheapy on?

have to snag some pics for ya of what a cheap belt can do to the underside of you hood (slightly visable from the top as well) when it came apart she definately had some force behind it. mind you i was turning 4000+ rpms. and the belt was less than 3 months old
