My Bronco 2

rear gears and install kit came in this morning.

just ordered rotors and front pads from rockauto. a lot cheaper and the quality is just as good IMO since i don't buy expensive brake stuff usually.. i might, later on, get into some better stuff. we'll see lol.

Sweet. Now get to work....

got the 4.10's out, ready to ship out tomorrow, i was being a traitor and found a buyer for them over on explorer forum.

once my pads and rotors get here, and i actually get my d35 up here i think i have everything covered. don't think i'm doing flex joints on the ext radius arms i've read in several places that they don't help but.... later i might. gotta save some money right now.

If your going to use joints later on might as well do it all at once instead of later.

yeah, we'll see.. but i'm not convinced i really need them..
but i either have to buy joints or bushings... lol.

You want my Lock-Rite? I am considering removing it when I take my D35 in to get regeared and put my differential back to stock (open) for now.

i don't have the money for nothing right now...
i'm not to worried about locking the front right now.

maybe i can scrape up money and get my credit card paid off before it sells... lol. just post it up and if i can i'll buy it, if not-- i'll take my losses

Alright we'll see. I'm pretty fickle, and if I am particularly lazy that day I may not even take it out :icon_twisted:

I just wanna get rid of it though and do something else: Aussie, ARB, Auburn Ected. We'll see lol.

See a theme here? I can never make up my mind on what I want to do :icon_confused:

i noticed that a long time ago.... lol
i'm just gonna keep mine open for now in the front. i don't plan on doing major trails.. i'm gonna wheel it and if it does what i want it to, then i'll not worry w/ it.. if it doesn't climb as good as wanted-- i'll lock it.

That's a good approach.

The lock-rite is not all that it is cracked up to be anyway. I particularly don't like the noises it makes when the hubs are locked but I am in 2wd.

I hear the Aussie is much less audible and smoother in operation so I may try it, but according to the Aussie website they are out of stock. I guess my decision has been made for me :annoyed:

Are you going to fab long radius arms or buy bolt ons? I see your are talking about different flex joints. Plus, they provide plenty of travel (like 12" on my setup) and only really come into play when running real soft coils.

My 2 cents is that the extra 3% of travel they might provide doesn't make up for the more noise that is transferred to the cab (NVH). I like the stock donut style cuz they are cheap to replace and pretty silent (until they go bad).

yeah, i've done a lot of reading in the past 2 days,

i don't see where its worth it.. i think i'm gonna run the stock bushings and see what happens. they are $11 at the Zone and lifetime warrantied lol.

and i have some DOM or HREW that i'm gonna extend my radius arms with to make "custom" ones. i'm not buying something that is that easy to make lol
