I've been off work and taking a break all day today. Took a picnic down to the lake with the gf and puppy. Just relaxing. I ain't been online a lot today either. Sometimes you just need a break from everything. I've been working on the stupid RV we have for sale so much I can't even wash my b2 lol. But hopefully the focus goes back to the b2 and ex tomorrow.

You doing a cut and turn D35..

In my opinion it would be easier then grinding rivots out to install drop brackets.. Plus it will only cost you $20.00us in consumables and materials..

Your two main benefits from a cut and turn setup are ground clearance and strength. Plus you won't have to run a monstrous drop pitman arm.

It is very simple, I could guide you through it. All you would be doing is cutting out the lower ball joint ear on the beam and moving it out. I would have to go into detail on explaining setting up a jig to get the camber alignment correct. How many inches of lift are you planning on running?

Here some comparison between a cut and turn and a drop bracket lift..

I wish I had some pictures of the the two at full bump (suspension fully compressed). The drop brackets damn near turn into earth movers. With alot of these kits with stock bumpstops at full bump the drop bracket will be 1"-2" from the ground, depending on tire size...

Personaly if I was doing all of this, I would try for the cut and turn but the drop brackets are the simplest way to go and like you said, your not going to be doing anything extrame with the B2 anyways.

i agree w/ bryan here lol.. i mean yeah it might be nice.

i'll def look into it aaron. it seems like it could be cheaper than doing the skyjacker brackets lol. would i still run the K-link steering (superrunner kit?) or what?

i do like the extra ground clearance idea... lol. i'm gonna go look at the process some tonight, see how hard it would be. this is a DD, but i could always do it before putting starting the swap lol. what axle drop brackets would i use? the stock ones only???

Plus cutting and rewelding the beams creates a weak point. I would only do it if you wanted to run them with drop brackets for an insane amount of flex. Otherwise not worth the trouble.

Bigger tires fixes your clearance issues.

I say if it comes down to it, just do the brackets for lift and if you do get a wild hair, get another set off TTB beams and try the cut and turn for sh!ts and giggles, at the most you will get some experiance and learn something out of it and a set that you can put on if you want. I see some stuff as, its only money, you cant take it to the grave with you, might as well live a little.
