My 91 Ranger the stRanger

Well since today is the last day of the wimpy version of the 8.8, and I won't be able to engage 4x4 for a while, I wanted to have a nice parting evening with the old axle. Not many pics just met up with a buddy of mine. He has a TJ locked fr/r on 38s

EDIT: i just noticed you still have the Washington plate on! Represent the west coast!
do you get pulled over ever for the lack of front plate like you, hahn, and myself do here?

Well the new 8.8 is in:yahoo:! And I am way over geared now lol, but my clutch is enjoying it. Took about 5 hours to do the swap. The guy that put the gears in was kind enough to let me use his shop!:headbang:

Yeah they are. I do have about 400lbs of stuff in the bed though... I am looking to do either exploder leafs or the 64'' swap...

to bad your not in the couve anymore there are about 15 explorers it the pick n pull

the 63 swap is worth the work, but the expo leaves would help

Yeah I need to do more reading on the swap, I don't think the flipped shackle is necessary for what I want to do, and I can't afford to lose lift in the rear either...

well just go pick up a pair! LOL

You don't need to flip the shackle, just have to move the front one forward. I did the swap when I put my lift on originally. Good flex and lift (with a longer shackle) is about 5", just about 3 to 4 with the stock stuff.

I intended to get some minor work done today, but getting up at 2 pm didn't help lol. I did get the old locker pulled today though. Tomorrow I might get around to some of the stuff I had planned.

Also I finally broke down and bought a set of the warn d35 jeep hubs. I'll toss my bad hub and keep the other one as a spare. I got my brake lines this week as well. Everything for the lift is here, I'm just waiting to get a locker in the new pig.

Went to best buy today and bought some Alpine 6.5 3 channel speakers (or something) for $80. HUGE upgrade over the 1991 stock doors speakers. The sound is so crisp and the Ranger can bump now lol. I really want to upgrade the rear speakers now too after hearing the improvement in the door speakers.
