Well went into the shop today to get my extended radius arms on. I was really excited. Started at ten and got it up on the lift and started taking shit apart.

About 4 hours into disassembly I have both old, radius arms removed, hubs and calipers removed and the axles supported. The old rad arms were a major PITA to get off all four bolts had to be torched and then hit with a big ass impact wrench. Then I move down to the fun stuff and start getting the new radius arm brackets mounted. I go to get the new tranny x-member in and it does not mount up properly:bawling: On one side its about 3/4 inch to far out and the other side about 1/2 inch to far in. FML. Reassemly begins:bawling: And its way harder to install the beams and shit lol.

Total time spent: 8 hours. Total accomplished: 0.

I'm going to go have several

Yes now I just need to work up the motivation to try again next weekend. I have to measure up the tranny x member and see if I can like oval the holes some to make it fit. Im going wheeling Sun. at Superlift most likely and putting the new rear in Mon. Hopefully that will give me some motivation to work on the front end again...

Well thanks to ScottyJ I was lucky enough to get my mitts around the Banner!

:icon_confused: I would contact plumcrazy on that. Maybe he could offer some insight. I never actually got it to the point of installing. I do know that the orig holes for the trans member in the frame rail weren't all supposed to be used. That a couple were to be used as guides, and the rest....for the new brackets... drilled out, or something like that.

Yeah it does not bolt to the frame rails it goes into the rad arm brackets. The problem is when it is bolted into the transmission one end is offset either to far or to short (extends past or is to shallow to contact the rad arm brackets).

have you gotten the 8.8 in yet?
