Yeah it's a rental so I try and modify the house as little as possible

Long day short, I got the old engine, t cases, tranny out, and the 351 mocked in. I am experimenting with my engine mounts trying to figure out how I want to do them. We fabbed up some solid mounts that will bolt to the cross member. Got the engine to sit nice and far back and low. Any thoughts and opinions about solid mounting the motor?

Looking good! If your running a.c. Cut the ac box as far as you can.i had issues with my valve cover on that side, had to do it twice.i used mustang valve covers but they dont have pc valves so I changed them and had rubbing issues with.regular truck valve covers.solid mounted motor is fine if you dont mind a little extra noise from the motor being transfered thru the frame just make sure you solid mount the trans too or youll have issues with the case splitting

Yeah no AC and it's a truck so the vibes I don't think ill mind. I'm not commuting in it every day. I am going to try using the stock 89 bronco valve covers and see how that goes

Scratvh that I just saw the intake. Im gona fi mine so ill be watching your progress abd taking notes

I'm going to have to take the baffles out of the valve covers to see if that will give me enough clearance on them, but we will see. I am going to have the motor fully assembled this weekend so mockup a will be better

Let me know if I can help in any way,i have doen alot it research and hit/miss on mine.i wish I had more pics of my build but they got lost.i will say if you get a steering sector from an early ford and eliminate the rag joint, exhaust will be easier to fit, otherwise youll rud.

Damn looks good! Must be nice to have a 2 car garage. I'm working in my single car garage and it sucks.

Anyway, what tcase are you planning on using? I love the idea of the strong box!

Yeah I have just enough room to get stuff done. I miss my old shop back in Arkansas. I couldn't imagine doing this in a smaller space! The doubler is going to go to a dana 300 I have that will be flipped to driver drop, twin sticked and upgraded outputs. Originally I wanted an atlas, but traded some parts for a dana 300 and went from there, plus its easier to upgrade over time instead of dropping $2k+ on a used one

If you dont mind me asking, how much was that box?
