I have also been wondering if my driveshafts are going to be the weak point too. Only one way to find out. Only thing is, I am trying to go atlas and don't know what series of flange and yoke to use.

Yeah you could almost stack the two on top of each other but I didn't have the room. Had the have a custom speedo cable made with two male ends. I used these guys in Portland but any speedo shop should be able to handle it. Another way would be mechanical and just change the speedo gear out. The guage is a lot cheaper. I couldn't run it because of clearance issues behind my dash.

Parts are slowly arriving, here is my small block ford header builders kit. I got 3 inch collectors, a ton of bent up 1 5/8" tubes, header bolts and gaskets for $114. Not bad at all

Hey man! Yeah the swap is going to be fun. I just cant wait for the reward at the end of driving it around with a v8. NM is pretty cool. Wheeling everywhere here, just not much green stuff haha. Overall I can't complain some beautiful country out this way.

I really dug into the engine today. I am opting to do a full rebuild on it. I am not sure if the oil was changed more than once in it
I found scoring in the cylinder walls, dirt and grit in the pan, and a lot of carbon built up in one of the combustion chambers. So while I have it out and apart I am just going to rebuild it and have a nice fresh engine.

Went out early this morning and took the truck out. I found a bunch of stuff to play on in some public land about 10 min from house. Gulches, hill climbs, washouts, dry river beds. Messed around for a couple hours. I forgot to mention a while ago I swapped my dual shocks out for single bilsteins 5125 12'' shocks. I like them and they give me a bit more flex up front.

B2's sat for about 6 months with a dead battery. Just need to pull all the carpet and shit out of it, get a battery and start beating on it again.

looks like a 302 lower to me.....i seem to remember the oem boat and truck being iron and that looks aluminum and the 351 have the inboard deck hole as they are wider. the pcv is raised too
