The hiems on the arms also probably transfer more vibration. It's also possible you stuffed the tranny too far up, which would explain why you had doubler fitment issues.

Yeah I didn't think about the heims. Tomorrow I am going to try lowering the mount, I built some adjustability on it. And after looking at it, I would have to cut the under body no matter what.

My doubler would have probably fit with no trimming, but I cut out the support that is spot welded to the floor pan anyway.

I lowered my mount like 1/2" from factory to help drive line angles.

My doubler is clocked up a notch on the kit, it maybe hangs 1/8th inch below the frame rails

I didn't use a kit and mine is clocked about the same the factory case, but it hangs an inch below.

Ok wheeling update

I drove the truck down to superlift orv park yesterday and had a blast! The truck worked great and I really tried all day to break it and and find weak points. Its an hour drive there and back on the freeway and we wheeled a solid 5 hours. The doubler is sweet! I really have to learn how to drive it again though since now its taller, wider, different suspension characteristics and the wheeling with the doubler is weird lol. Nothing broke and it drove fine all day. I really need to trim more of the gas tank skid off because there was clearance issues with that on the drive shaft at full stuff. I do miss my 19 gallon tank. I really wish I would have gone fuel cell though because that tank always seems to be in the way... The steering off road is not bad, I want hydro assist though for driving on the rocks.

I went with my buddy, he brought his 93 yota we did a SAS on it the same time we did mine. Also zero issues or breakage.

I hope this week I will get some practice with the bender and mount the winch and build a new bumper. I also need to make that doubler support. I did not have time to do it before wheeling. I did chain the engine down exactly like Kage did on his ranger. Also looking for a manual tranny + transfer case shift boot.

Thanks a lot guys! I am really happy with how it turned out too. And I love the look of a second gen. I have been planning all along to build a tube bed, but the regular bed and old 90s stickers just looks badass to me

I picked up a sheet of 1/4'' plate to start on the bumper. I took the current one off and and setup the 8274 for as close into the body as I could get it and I am hating it! I am thinking that winch just might be too big for my purpose. I really want to use it but its so bulky and I think it will stick out to far and get hung up on rocks. (my current low profile bumper got smacked on a couple ledges. So I am thinking I will sell the the 8274 and buy a smaller winch. I also got 100 feet of amsteel blue winch line ready to go. And I have been playing around with bendtech. It seems to make bending tube 100 times easier!

Yeah the 8274 is huge. Should be able to fit a standard winch between the frame rails, minus the solenoid box.

Just from the measurements a standard winch will fit easily, and i might be able to squeeze the solenoid pack in there too.
