My 91 Ranger the stRanger

I used a spacer/adapter combo in one

Thanks! It took a few times but I got a win.

Working the truck won't happen for a couple weekends, I am on vacation in Germany right now, but when I get back full steam ahead. I want to finish all my projects before I move because I am unsure if my new house will have a decent garage or when I will have time.

Congrats on truck of the month! Well deserved for a sweet truck!!!

Not sure if you'll remember me but I met you around late 2009 when I was still in the dorms on base; I had a blue Explorer. Have that one and a second lifted one now too. Still really like your truck. I have garage space to wrench on stuff in North Little Rock and storage if you need. Or contact me if you'd like to swap parts.

Good stuff lol lucky you found a gen 2 like that in that shape i have always had gen 2s ive had 3 1989's and 1 1990 i have a 99 3.0 now i like the space in the cab but i want an older one agian i have been searching but im in NY so everything is beat to crap lol i picked up my 99 for 1500$ i did 2 headgaskets the valve cover gaskets exhaust manifold gaskets egr seal upper and lower intake gaskets coil pack 6 wires and 6 double platinum NGK plugs runs excellent now for a 3.0 not even a shudder lol i just turned 162k the tranny was rebuilt with a small shift kit to help it out with the weight the 3.0 is a little sluggish

Hey Grunizzle, first of all nice truck! i love it man! Congrads on the win! my best friend back in highschool had the exact same year and color (minus the sticker) :headbang: running a 6’’ lift and 33’s.

Second, about your doubler, i know there is a huge debate on the topic of how long it will last. and if it is DD reliable. i know they are wicked nasty on the trail, but seeing as mine is a DD and trail rig, im at a delima on if i should pick up an extra one and set a goal to do it in the future or not..

SO.... how many miles have you put on it? and any issues yet?

I have about 2000 miles on and no issue at all. I am going to drop here soon and check it out to make sure everything is kosher. Also brayd is running the same setup and he has a ton more miles than I do on it. Once you go doubler you wonder how you wheeled before

I have put just over 8k on mine with no issues. I machined my own one piece design plate, but I am using the Duffy shaft.

One of my flavorite additions second only to the SAS.

Well I finally got back to work on the truck this weekend. I yanked the bed off, installed the new cross member I built, wired up the lights and I started in the tube bed base and fuel cell mount. I ran out of time and light today so this is the only picture I got. I also picked up a brand new full size spare today. I have a huge laundry list of stuff to get done in the next 5 weeks so the updates should be coming quick.

How are those mtr/k? Everybody seems to be running them. I like the truck man it turned out pretty good. Can't wait to see the tubebed.

Yeah they're the GY mtr kevlars. I've been really happy with them so far on and offroad
