My 91 Ranger the stRanger

Does anyone have any info or links to tech on running toyota rear leaf springs?

Yeah that I know, I was more looking for how much lift an aftermarket leaf pack would give a ranger and if the toyota packs are shorter for shrinking down the wheelbase.

nmb2 has a great setup for low slung killer flex.

i am too heavy but i could add a few leafs and use similar.

Been grinding the stupid rivets and drilling holes all day. I need some new bits to get any farther but here is some progress.

Got the arm mounts and coils temped in, I want to make sure everything is good before I drill holes and permanently mount the arms. Still need to make the track bar, panhard and fab up new crossmbers.

What have guys been running for brake lines? I was thinking either getting long lines to drop down from the coil bucket or a single line drop on top of the pumpkin and hard lines to the knuckles. Not sure if I can find lines long enough to reach from the coil buckets

I used them from the frame near coil buckets to the caliper.

Mine run hard lines down my radius arms with short lines at the heim and knuckle. If I had it to do over, I would put one in the center, the hard line it out the knuckles.

I think I am going to do that eventually but for now I made some lines work from the buckets down. I had the brakeware lines from before and duff steel lines, I combined them and they are plenty long.
I am hoping tonight I get the front on its own weight again. I decided to move the radius arms back a little from the pictures because it seemed liked the coils were bowing forwards. Then I need to figure out what I'm going to do for the rear. Most likely I boarding the springs
Ordering a bender today to build crossmembers, front bumper, and a bed.

The james duff kit looks real nice!! Looking good!

I know this is for the brakes, but if someone could please show me where the heck it goes, that would be great

on the caliper you have a little "I Beam" looking keeper for it....it goes between the caliper and the I beam....

hope that helps....

So it goes in the bottom groove of the caliper between that and the piece the bolt goes through?

it goes in the groove "hooked" to the I beam when sliding it in to keep the caliper....

you can just make out the end of it just above the bolt....

so it goes like this....

caliper

tensioner ( what you have in your hand )

I beam

caliper bracket
