I started the lift yesterday. I just got the rear end done first so I could measure for the new shaft.

i like your k&n set up, i have a cheap spectre cone filter from autozone on mine and it sucks in hot air, but i've been trying to figure out how to shoot some cool air in there. how did you tie the battery down?

woah, didnt see the lifted pics, those tires and wheels look good on there, eddie bauers are shit:headbang:

Thanks man, actually one of the reasons why I went back to the stock air box is because all I had to hold my battery down was a bungee cord, lol. a big enough bump would cause the battery to shift.

I'll come up with a better way to mount the battery, and use some aluminum sheet metal to make a heat shield of some sort.

lookin good:headbang:that is one clean BII! saw from your front plate that your from Missouri! Where at?????:icon_confused:

Got my drive shaft back from being shortened and rebuilt!!!:headbang:

Rebuild and shortening cost: $137.00 not to bad.

that thing looks amazing giving a lot of good ideas for my 87 B2 build its going a lot slower though damn lack of funds lol

Yeah I hear ya, my funds are low too. Its taken my almost a year just to get the parts that I have now. After the lift it might get pretty slow. I still might have a hook up for a D35 and 8.8 with a lockright, both for $350!! but then if I get those I'll have to rear gear them and that's a lot of $$$$$$

^
that's where i am right now. i found an 8.8 with the same gear ratio as my my b2, but i' still piecing my lift together and my engine isnt even back in yet. good thing is that i have a real job now, so i have $$$ money coming in, but i never have any days off.

if i were you, i'd just look for a d35, the 7.5 should have no trouble handling 31's as long as you arent rock crawler or doing something extreme.

Ok, Time for an update!!

I got everything done over the weekend. So here are some pics!!

Here is the newly rebuilt and shortened explorer sport drive shaft.

So I went over to ford and they wanted $110.00 a side!!:shok: I said forget that I'll just weld the thing back together.
