Looks awesome! Too bad about your first one tho...

It would look sweet painted black

truck looks great man. I have a 87 ranger also and a 88 mustang with a 5.0 HO and iam trying to get some info on what trany i can use with the swap . the ranger has a V6 with a 5 speed trany, do you think the 5 speed from the ranger will bolt up to the 5.0 or should i use the trany out off the mustang and try to get atapters for the t case ?

The ranger tranny is a bad idea Unless it's the mdr2 I know that's morning proper modle number the came behind the 4.0 rangers. Well what tranny is I'n the mustang? If it's the t-5 it will bolt up I'm not sure if u can buy a adptor if u can I'm sure it's lots and lots of$$$ it would ne netter if u use like a c-6 or np435 or any other full size tranny. Ur wanting to keep it 4x4 right?

I don't think the M5OD has a removable bellhousing though.

The best from what I have gathered is the 4.2 V6 97-03 (and maybe later) M5OD. They have the good old SBF boltpattern but need the holes enlarged. They have the shifter in a better place for a Ranger than the previous 300/302/351 F-150's

the new truck looks a very clean install man keep up the good work

Truck looks good, sure sorry Ford quit doing the two-tone paint on them.

Well, well, well..... okietheranger lives again! :yahoo::yahoo:

Still giving your ladyfriend a hard time about the wrecked ranger? :icon_twisted:

Ironranger what is going on my brother! :headbang: well were not friends anymore not just cause that plenty of other reasons... but anywho been a long time scince i been on here man im a busy man :icon_welder: how is you and your rig doing?

ya i definetly want to keep 4x4 and i would like to keep it a manual trany. i dont know much about trany # is a c6 an automatic if a c6 would bolt up to 5.0 and the t case with no mods, i would consider it. maybe just have to change drive shafts length?

A c6 is a auto 3 speed. No od it depends on what t case u plan on using. Yes I'm sure a driveshaft mod will be required

Been doin' fantastic! I got big plans for the ol' girl when the snow melts. I gots me some chrome roadster side pipes...... :icon_surprised::D

dude that is awsome!!!! i know u have been wanthing them for a while! gonna keep ur electric dumps? (still drooling:yahoo:)anything else u gonna do?

I'm gonna try to re-use them somehow. I want to put piping back into the sidepipes so that when I open the dumps, the sound will roar out of the sidepipes rather than under the truck.

What else..................? I got a chrome tailgate handle, Euro headlights, and a possible rear anti-sway bar on the way.

Engine/drivetrain-wise, I'm done. No turbos or superchargers or nothing like that. Raw V8 power is enough for me!

And larger collectors for a more free flowing exhaust! :D
