My 84 ranger with a supercharged 5.0 and full width SAS

another AZ fellow i see!

nice truck, love the SC, and that front suspension is way way to clean!

i'm up in flagstaff, and my GF will be down on your side of town for a month or so in july. my b2 "should" be running then, we should def go wheeling!

Thanks again guys! It's definitely an honor to win Off Road Truck Of The Month too. It's been a long time in the making. I'm glad my work inspires some of you. My inspiration came from many of the members here. Combined many of your great ideas and tried to put them all into one. Not easy!

Next projects will a new warmed up engine :headbang: transmission cooler, and some new 37" SSR tires

spdcrazy: hello there fellow Arizonan! Maybe sometime in July we can get a group of us all to go wheeling. Hit me up!

Andrew! I think you might remember me from past vehicles as a '93 SAS'd Explorer ;) The truck looks fantastic! I wanna see it in person. Was that first picture on Roger road?
I just picked up an '87 B2 for a new project, I knew I couldn't stay away from the RBV too long :icon_welder:

Hey there! Is this Bobby? I know the Explorer has had 3 owners since it went SAS. Pictures were actualy Reddington pass at Three feathers. Hit up myself or Chris and we'll go wheeling sometime. Maybe even get a sas going :icon_cheers:

You guessed it! Ohh ok I recognize it now. I will definately give you guys a call when its ready, I have to take care of a headgasket or freeze plug this weekend. It is almost definately getting SAS'd, I'm just not sure whether I want to go D44, D30, or just go the easy route and do a D35...Which reminds me, still got any of your old lift or D35 stuff??

Awesome rig man! I have an 88 ranger and 79 donor f150, thinking of doing a very similar build.

Is this your DD? How do the full widths drive on the street?
How do you like the 4.56 gears with that size tire?

Woot for 84' Ranger, not many of us out there as I'd like to see, but we gotta keep the 84' alive!!!

How are you running the front driveshaft? Are you using a double cardan driveshaft with the BW1350?

The full widths work great on the street. Very stable. I noticed the turning radius has gotten worse. But the lockers may have something to do with that. The 4.56 gears work very well with that sized tire. It is much like the stock gearing and tire size from the factory as far as rpm's go. Not all that great for use on the highway though without an overdrive. And yup, I drive her almost every day to work.

Sweet rig! Couple questions about your sas: What steering box pitman arm combo? Stock trac bar mount at the axle or fabbed? What heim did you use at the pitman arm, and is it just drilled and bolted conventionally?
