You blow it up? Please explain what happened. What tranny you looking to put in it, another TK5 or the next type up which is stronger but my need drive shaft mod.?

its making gawd awful noises... my input shaft is on the frits...im sure my bearings are toast... and somethings up with my clutch... i found the other type out of the 87 ranger with a tcase for 50 bucks but i didnt want to get it and have a crap load of mods... i just dont know anything about the type and whats needed

Not bad at all.. one weekend.. kick back do 30 minutes at a time (Lazy) lol...

Its been too long since i been on here... i joined the air force and have 0 time until now... and blew a head gasket while camping... oil and water wasnt mixing i was just burning coolant so i have to replace that... not too bad the set is pretty cheap probably running around $70 here plus new head bolts another $30 and another weekend when im home. plus a new bearings for my current transmission which shall be a whole nother monster@!@!@!@!

Looks good man! Clean I like it. I have the same push bar and HF off road lights! I love em!

As soon I get my 289 off to the machine shop, I'll be pulling my 2.8. So it will be up for grabs when I do. It will need to be redone, it blows oil like a whale! But it has never let me down!

I just did my tranny, I have C5, what do you have? I got the c4 vid from ninosport. it helped a little. Youtube has a guy on there who rebuilt on too. Just take your time and do it right. The rebuild kit is like $55.00 from Whatever It Takes Transmission in Knoxville. Good luck, just got mine back together and I have to adjust the shift linkage, but it runs great!

Thanks again guys... i have a ton of pride in my ranger to turn it into a beater...
i love it and have to much time and love invested to ever do anything bad to it...

Head gasket job will be a chore for sure... just sucks becuase im 4 states away from my baby and i cant work on her in my down time...
