i bought another ranger for 600 on tuesday. the truck had been sitting in a barn for at least 2 years. its an 89 and supposably a "highboy". idk, it sits up higher than my other 90 ranger and its an extended cab with no back seats, just storage compartments. it had a newer engine with around 40,000 on it, almost brand new 30 inch yokohama geolanders on it. new clutch, exhaust and the guy said he looked over pretty much the entire truck to make sure everything worked. 4 wheel works and he replaced the u joints and ball joints. its sanded down and basically ready to get painted. it has all the parts you dont see with it.

$600 steal, more like $600 trail rig. I see a good future with that truck.

:icon_cheers:

By the way the body lines are off, I'd say you either have some rear cab mount or rust issues. Excellent find either way, both are easy fixes.

"Highboy" is a phrase associated with late 70's F150/250 4x4.

On a Ranger it's "High Rider", but that doesn't apply either.
There are no production supercab High Riders.

There are a couple that were "accidentially" assembled by line workers why were on the line when their OWN special ordered truck came down the line at the Twin Cities plant.
They officially don't exsist but according to rumor there were eight or nine built that way.

that tuck looks kinda rough but if everything sorta works you've got a descent trail pig.

not to be mean but my ranger i got for $550 is in way better condition than that...body wise. Engine wise yours is better cause im putting a new one mine. But ya trail rig!

the body is in really good shape. its just sanded down. a lot of the body work is already done. i'm making this into a daily driver.

and it might not be a high rider, but it sure sits up high and i dont see any lift on it

nice but wheres the rest of the truck and what is up with those body lines? I don't mean to be rude but I've seen better looking trucks at a salvage yard which means some one got paid to haul it off but if you are happy rock on brotha!

its just the bed not bolted down and just resting on the frame oddly. the rest of the truck is in the bed and inside the cab.

I see definate potential. Get it primered up at a minimum and it'll look 10000 times better.

Get to work and keep the pics coming! looks like it will be a nice buildup.
