My $400 Ranger

Hello, I just picked up a '98 XLT Supercab 2wd with a 4.0L auto. The trans has no reverse, and the engine has a severe coolant leak back near the firewall. I'm happy to have a rust free truck though! Since I also have a running/driving '98 Mountaineer 5.0 as a donor vehicle, I'm REALLY inclined to make the swap... but also considering just getting it running as is. Any input?

With the 2" front, 3" rear lowering kit... 7" front & 9.5" rear Mustang Bullitt style wheels...would be a great daily driver.

And probably not too horrible on gas, for a V8... in the. 4k+ pound Mountaineer, I could squeek out 18 MPG. The Ranger weighs about 800-900 pounds less...

Who am I kidding?... I would drive it like I stole it, haha!
