My 31s are rubbing in the front when turning hard.

On my 94 Ext cab 4x4, stock suspension, I barely get a rub with Corsa 31x10.50 only on the drivers side on hard left turns. It might just be the nubs from on the new tire but you can see the small rub spot. Any worries or drive it like I stole it?
Drive it and have fun. Mine is worse than that.

Those of us with 31" tires get that in certain tight turn positions. Mine is tires turned to the left while backing up. The tread grabs the rubber splash flap in the front of the passenger side wheel well.

As long as there isn't anything getting damaged, I'd run it. It doesn't look like you'll have a problem. Just try to avoid going full lock if you can help it.

That's where my Duratracs on stock deer hoof wheels rub too. Run it... not a big deal. You could try very thin wheel spacers - maybe like 1/4" - those might kick the tires out enough to clear or maybe not.

Good to know that they will fit a stock height truck though, I am planning on getting a new set of 31" BFGs for my stepside truck and I might throw the Duratracs on my '94 just to burn them up since it also needs tires.

These Corsa tires are budget tires, not much sidewall traction. If you get tires with thick sideways like BFGs or Falken. I wonder if they will rub even more than this budget tire?

I would think it wouldn't make much difference or it shouldn't anyway. A 31x10.50x15 tire should have those dimensions... all things being equal, any tire of that size should rub (or not) in the same places. But tire manufacturers don't always make their tires to the specs on the sidewall. Interco is notorious for that, they would sell Super Swampers that were supposed to be a 36" tall tire and really they would measure maybe 34" at full air pressure... even less if you ran a wide wheel.

Only reliable way to know for sure is to mount up a tire and see what happens. Very unscientific!

I cut a small piece of the inner wheel well liner off. No more rub. It was just on the drivers side when I make hard left turns. All good now. I'm loving my 31s.

I thought 265s were basically 31s. My 93 calls for 265/15s
The 265s that were on there when I got it never rubbed at all
I went to 235s when I started buying new ones due to price. It actually gets as good of mileage with them, although cruise speed is a bit slower

265/70-16 is basically a 31x9.5-16 if I remember correctly, so a narrow 31. The metric sizes are a little weird because they deal with ratios instead of a size. Thus a 265/50-16 would be shorter and wider.
