My $3,500 Jaguar - The 'Mad Jag'

It's the drone in the cabin.

Better off with just resonators sometimes.

I've been searching for videos of Jags with aftermarket mufflers to get some ideas of what it might sound like. I don't want it to have an annoying cackle when I let off the gas.

I never understood why there's so many black cars and SUV's in Texas.
I can't understand it either. Black is the best looking color when it's clean but keeping it clean is tough. My Mustang is back with gold stripes, when it's left in the weak-by-Texas-standards NH sun, the gold is hot to the touch and the black will sear flesh. White's almost as much work to keep clean and doesn't look anywhere near as good when clean. Metallic silver looks great when clean and waxed, still looks good after diving in the rain, and reflects sun nearly as well as white.

I've always wanted one of those. Lower it a couple inches and put it on some big drug dealer wheels... stylin.

The British build some stuff that's ass backwards... but their crap is certainly easier to deal with than anything made by the nazis.. and certainly anything made by b-m-trouble you.

Black looks good, on certain cars, when it is clean and shiny. Something Big and Long and Black, with chrome.

Otherwise, I will take dark blue with a little bit of metal flake every day of the week.

White look bad no matter what, except when used as an accent, sometimes.

All the BMW I found seemed to leak oil.

BMWs are like Harleys... if there’s no oil under them, there’s no oil in them.

I haven't scanned the codes yet, buy the seller sent me a pic of the codes he got:

70959

I've been trying to search online for possible solutions.

P0628 - Fuel pump A control circuit low. Sounds like this could be a poor ground, corroded connection, bad relay, or bad fuel pump.

P0171 - System too lean bank one.
P0174 - System too lean bank two.

From what I've been reading, having both of those codes at the same time can be air leaking at the intake / filter, leaking breather hose, or vacuum leak.

If you are not getting enough power to the fuel pump do to a bad ground or broken wire this could cause you to run lean, hence the readings from the 02 sensors.

Agreed. Fuel issue may be the source of the lean codes so sort that first.

I could wheel that.
20-something years ago we took my ‘87 Escort 4 door down a dirt trail with a jet-ski sticking out of the hatch... this is classy compared to some of the stuff I’ve had offroad.
