well once again im new to the site ive got a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 4x4 xlt ant help with upgrades would be nice

Welcome to the Station Ammit! For starters, the 3.0 isn't really known for power, but more for reliability. Be sure to do a tune up and adjust the slack in the throttle cable. That should make it more responsive. As for upgrades check out moranav6racing.com. They have good sets of bolt on rocker arms and custom grind cams. Good looking truck you've got. Once again, welcome.

4 inch lift wouldn't hurt put some 33s and 4:10 gears with air lockers. If you wanna go all out custom bumpers a winch, SAS and dana 44s. would be a +. It would be a sick ride. Welcome to the forums BTW do you have any solid plans for her.

+1 to that mclaren. It also depends on how hard you wanna go wheeling. Any plans for super-hardcore, or just a DD with a bit of wheeling thrown in for the weekend?

well

as for solid plans no but ive been planning on building her up but all i got at the moment to fix her up is 2000 dollars so i can only do so much then i have to save up some more but im planning to do anything i want like rock craWLING MUDDING ANything that deals with offroading really and its also my school vehicle.:icon_thumby:

hints

any help on cheap ways to build her up what im mainly looking for is for enginr performance and a lift preferably a 4 inch lift and engine mod

Well if you want to rockcrawl, the best place to start is a locker and a good powertrain. You would be surprised by how far offroad you can actually get on a stock suspension. Get a set of 4.10s or 4.56 gears and a good locker like a Detroit TruTrac or a Powertrax Lockrite. That should be good. As for power, get a good cam and some rockers on that baby and it should put down enough power to get you through some mean stuff, but if you wanna do hardcore stuff, you'll need a bigger engine.

Depends on what you want. Contact Tom Morana and check out their spec sheet on their cam grinds. You should be able to find one that works for what you want. I assume you want a DD with a weekend fun-seeker, so you should just need something that extends the duration and lift just slightly off stock.

well i want this truck to be bad ass so i cn do some 1/4 mile drags and stuff like that along with offroading ecause school is only 2 miles away and right now it gets good mpg right now and well that is good too check up on it also ive been pondering what brands of upgrades should i get on my baby?

Get a set of Nitro Gear 4.10s and a Detroit TruTrac locker. Those will give you more torque and on-demand traction. As for the valvetrain, you need to contact Tom Morana. They can give you the best specs for what you're looking for in drags and offroad. It also might be worth investing in a Hypertech programmer. Keep us updated on what shakes down.

welcome to the site it's great to have you here.
