my 2.3 4 banger wont start

I have a 1995 ford ranger 2.3L all stock. In the beggining it starts fine, but after driving around town and turning the engine off, I cant run the truck right back on until I wait like for 3 or 5 minutes and then it will run. I dont know whats the problem, it cranks and the radio and lights work so I know its not an electric problem cause it has a new cranking motor and new battery but the engine wont run till I wait 3 minutes and then it runs.

Found out it was the pcm relay and since then I havent had a problem, but Im still gonna check the Engine Managment Temp Sensor and Ignition control module

well it is actually called the ECT sensor...engine coolant temp sensor............and you do not have a separate ICM it is part of the ECU on your truck..........

the ECT sensor wouldnt enable a no start condition though... it simply reads the tempuature of the coolant... if it was the ECT you would run either very rich or very lean... and it would set a P0203 code. engine coolant temp too low for (closed loop) fuel circulation. i dont know where to tell you to look but the ECT sensor wouldnt cause a no start.

will it even turn over durring those 3 mins, if not can you hear the solonoid engage?

best bet would be to make the truck repeat the problem and try to run a no-start test within those three mins... check Spark & fuel. no need to check air, obviously it had air when running.
