Probably not the best of options since the 96' Ranger has Twin I-Beam front suspension. But there is probably a kit out. Just be worry of the extreme camber changes.

From what I understand, because of the suspension type on the Ranger, it is fairly expensive to slam a Ranger. there are kits and stuff out there, but be prepared to pay some bux to do it.

Get approx. 4" of drop in the rear by swappin in an Explorer rearend, front is a lil' more detailed & outta my area....

well the rear end you can get drop hangers/ or flip the stock ones an get 2 inches of drop.. for the front you can get 2inch drop coils or check here or rps for DREAM BEAMS... they lower a ranger between 4-5 inches

Rangerboi, here is a STRAIGHT answer for you.

To lower your front end 5" you will need to buy 2 things...

3" Lowered I-beams

2" Front Lowering Coil Springs

OR you can get the 3/4" kit and add coil springs.

Along with that you will need to install Adjustable Camber eccentrics that you can get from Napa. They install on the I-beams where the top balljoint is inserted.


For the rear you will need this..which comes in that 3/4" kit I posted
Axle Flip Kit

Since the rear end will sit an inch or 2 higher than the front when its all said and done you may consider doing THIS, the pictures are WRONG btw, both of those pictures are what it will look like AFTER you've flipped them.

thnx guys...im ordering the 3-4 drop kit by djm..it has the i-beams and the flip kit....is there anything else i need besides the shocks? thnx
