Well, when I sold it to the guy I told him if he were to ever sell it give me a call and I will most likely buy it back. What do you know? He called me. He fixed everything almost all the body damage, the transmission, tcase, and various other things. His friend said he will give him $2500 in August and he said He will sell it to me for $2700. Now thats kind of high priced for me... and probably everyone but, I have never had more of an attachment to an object in my life. Ive talked to my father about buying the truck back and he says its not a good idea and that the truck is jinxed (:icon_rofl:). Seeing as how im just out of high school and have about 2000$, and need about 700$ for this truck quickly (I know get a job, im working on it the unemployment rate around here is 12.4% :shok:) So, any tips on convincing my father? :icon_idea:

Yep............ask him if he remembers his first "girl"....

Is that Gen 3 your ranger? Or is it the pickup depicted in the avatar it?

The best way to convince him is to get off your butt and at least try to find a job, don't throw around unemployment numbers, they are so skewed by so many factors they are basically meaningless.

Sell one of the three trucks in your sig? you don't need 4 car whens you're that young.

Well Ryan, let me just be a little cliche here.

Father knows best

I thought my Old Man disagreed with my crazy ideas at your age just to be spiteful. In hindsight, it was him teaching me a lesson he'd already learned. Nothing is more valuable than experience. Listen to your Old Man. He has seen the truck up close and probably driven it.... an experience none of us have had. From previous threads, I take it he's mechanically inclined, and I'd trust his advice. It might hurt, but he's right.

He owns 3 trucks and just out of high school?????? He wants another one.....sorry if I was his father I would say sell 2 and keep one, forget about the buying the other one.
This whole situation makes no sense.:icon_confused:

Good lord. If I was outta high school with a 7.3L PS I'd be livin' LIFE! Are you just listing the vehicles in the family though?

I'm guessing it's the latter, or this kid's one lucky bastard haha

Powerstroke is technically my dads but I drive it everyday. The 1990 Ranger is mine, and the Bronco II is the family car for whoever wants to drive it.

Short story, Dad said no to buying back the 93 Ranger cause its just not worth it.
