alright i'm kinda new to this site but i have been workin on this 84 ranger regular cab truck for awhile now and i just getting into fixing the interior and i've heard that 99-04 mustang seats will fit into rangers. I went to a local junk yard and picked up a set of mustang seats the other day and i noticed that the bucket seat that i took out of the truck sets higher then the mustang seats. I also noticed that the floor is uneven and holes dont match up right. So brings me to my questions 1.Can i buy ranger bucket seat tracks to put on my mustang seats so that they will work? 2.If ranger seat tracks don't work what can i do to make my mustang seats work? Any helpful advice would help me. Anyone have any pics of this being done before? Thanks

I have mustang gt seats in my truck , I had to modify the stock truck brackets . to fit the seats , I will try and get some pictures tomorrow for you .

so did you have original bucket seats in yours and then put the mustang's in.
mine originally had a bench seat and i was wondering if i have to buy new brackets/tracks

i use the original 60/40 seat brackets , made extensions and lifted the seat at the same time , i think once you see the picture you will see what I did

yea i will have to see pics to understand haha

I would like to see those pics as well. Thanks

60/40 seat brackets are the same as those for regular buckets.

The OP will need the brackets for a standard cab 83-92 truck.

I mounted buckets out of an 02 Mustang in my 88 Supercab using the stock Ranger seat brackets and they were a direct bolt in. The bolt patterns on the bottom of the seats were both 14" square. I didn't notice a need to lift the seat, but I haven't driven it, so I may not have a good feel for it yet.

will brackets from any model 60/40 ranger seats work on my 84?
