Gathering parts for a 351w swap in a 93 exp sport, i have the motor, C6 w/ borgwarner 1350 tcase. Was wondering if 5.0 mustang headers would work, also i am using a bronco oil pan any ideas if it will work?

On a 351W, you will have to run the headers on the outside of the frame, so anything that can go outside the rails will work.

I dont think 5.0 headers will work on a 351W and dont think 351W came in Mustangs either.

As far as oil pans, either dual sump or if possible a rear sump pan as the crossmember will get in the way of a front sump.

Just go with manifolds.....your life will be simpler and more enjoyable....trust me.

Its a dual sump pan, the headers are bbk 5.0 and used a 351 swap xpipe this was in my 85 notch stang. i just didnt know if they would clear my explorer frame rails.

5.0 headers will work on a 351W and vice versa. The problem is when a RBV enters the picture.

This is not always true. Some 351 headers will not clear the 302 bellhousing because they're designed to closely fit a 351's block profile. I ran into thios trying to fit a Headman 65-66 351W swap header to the 302 in my Ranger.

351W's were in 69-73 Mustangs. And then there were a few Cobra R's with em too.

they sell lots of 351w swap headers for mustangs. 302 headers on a 351w will pull the exhaust up tighter to the vehicle, due to the different deck heights, if they even clear.
