Sounds like a four banger with a glass pack to me.

If you're going to do this, at least add a whistle tip.

Might even get some cool resonance thing going on as it competes against the real deal!

Play with it if you want, I would er towards the side of keeping something of a muffler.

I would go with a bolt on kit so:
A. If you don't like it it is easy to put it back to stock.
B. If you do like it it will last longer (make sure it is stainless)

If you run the truck right, you’ll get whistle from the blow off valve. I’ve had mine do it a couple times.

Oh what ever I do I will weld some factory style hangers so factory can go back on. Probably some kind of high flow performance muffler and no resonator behind. Really dont want it super loud. Just roudy haha

:devilish:

Any one done a muffler delete on a eco boost 2.3. I would like mine louder but not bumblebee sounding. And I will be real, my better half is about tired of me spending money on a brand new truck. And I could do this myself with some exhaust pipe I use at work.

I dunno, inline 6's can sound pretty nice when done right. My chevy 292 with dual exhaust headers sounded like an apache helicopter. But yea I've never heard a 4 cylinder sound "good".

It's the headers that make that 6 sound good. I built a split exhaust manifold for the 230 6 banger in my ole Nova in high school. It sounded pretty nice too.

But a 4 banger? The quieter the better.

I personally think Ford did a great job on the 2019 up Ranger exhaust.

Speedway motors sells a kit to make fire come out of the exhaust, put one of those on it, spray adhesive on the roof and dump a bunch of feathers on it and you can be tickled. Replacing the stock muffler with something like a Dynomax Super Turbo is as far as I'd go with a 4 cylinder. While it's under warranty I wouldn't mess with it, just to avoid potential headaches.

I had a Flowmaster DBX on my Sport Trac that I liked a lot.
