Haha I have a 289 hi po on an engine stand at my dads and a C6 with a 2500 stall. Maybe I should just do an engine swap haha but only shorry headers. All that would fit on my old 98 mustang drag car haha

Putting a 289 in a 98 seems like sacrilege... It needs a coyote, or at least a 4.6 DOHC cobra

It had a 3.8 that would blow the oil filter off the treads every 1000 miles. Couldn't find the problem. Had the rebuilt 289 sitting out of a fairlane. So was a pretty easy swap considering then after replacing all gauges added 9 inch quick swap rear end, project became a money pit till I broke traction about 600ft mark and put it in wall at local strip. Pulled motor and junked body. Looking for an old cougar body. But cant find anything cheap

Great motor. My uncle still has my late Grand dad's old 84 F100 as a driver. That thing has about 500000 miles on it and starts and runs great still

It is a very rare thing for any kind of performance exhaust to make a four banger sound good. You can manage it with a V6 but most "performance" exhausts on a four banger just sound horrible. Even if they have big pistons, there just isn't enough exhaust pulses to generate the proper sound. A 2.4L is half of a 289 and sound like half of an engine. A 2.3 will be about the same.

This one time it was super windy and the big steel door on the shipping container I use as a chicken coup slammed shut on one of my pigs nearly cutting it in half.

The noises that pig made before it died sound better than that truck...

Do the muffler delete. Mabey not all ghetto like this kid did but yeah.. the ecoboost is a decent sounding 4 banger imo and I plan on deleting my muffler eventually.

AFE makes a kit for it. May try and add some kind of muffler. Maybe not. Would be and awesome alarm if dittman can make it to the round up haha
