mud tires

BFG MT is going to be the best mud tire for the money, they have really deep tread lugs and quality tires. Dont mess with 2 cheap of a mud terrain, they just get eaten up faster. Most shops around here dont even stock those fancy brands and are a pain to get ordered so thats why i stuck with BF goodrich..all shops around here carry bigger sizes in stock most of the time.

I've only ran a few different types of Mud Tires, but at this point in time, I swear by my Super Swamper LTBs. They do ok on road, but are definitely more for off road only type rigs. I ran the BFG KMs and ripped through the sidewall like nothing and the traction difference between the BFG and LTB is like night and day.

I've also heard and seen good things from Treadwright (sp?) if you are on a budget. There always seem to be lots of good used tire deals, especially for stuff around the 33" size so that may be the deciding factor.

If you're truck never sees pavement you want the TSL Super Swampers. Hands down the best mud terrain type tire on the market.

I would go with super swamper tsl's or ltb's if my truck was off road only, but that is not from experience.

I just ordered toyo open country mt's

NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Our shop sells them... Big expensive POS's!

The only people that say anything good about them have only driven them on pavement... All my friends and people I run into that run them off road said they wear and chunk out something horrible. I have never personally run them but off road I hear they Suck balls! (well they are good just break down fast)

i still think the most important factor in tires is the driver. how you drive has more impact on tire wear and performance than any other factor, including road and trail conditions. i've driven some really crappy tires and gotten the most out of them mostly due to cash available to replace them. and i've driven on some really super tires that i've managed to eek out more miles and trail time with than what most other drivers of that brand did. so, like most other things in life, if you treat them like you stole them, that is probably how they will perform. treat them like you would your best friend and you are way more likely to be happy with the results, no matter what brand they are.
just my $.02

i got a set of used wrangler mtr's on my truck wasn't sure when i got them but when i hit the bog i had no touble at all getting in and out rite up until the powersteering when out but thats another story but yeah those tires perform awesome for in the mud. now in sand u will have some issues they tend to dig down in sand thats the only problem.

i would have to say these tires are hands down the best m/t for all around driving on the market (better than the Trxus m/t for sure). Just installed these 31x10.50R15 Nokian Vatiiva M/T's. They are made in Finland which is primarily snow and ice for 8 months of the year (all year in certain places). They are remarkable in mud, snow, wet pavement, rocks (although they could use more sidewall tread), ice, gravel, dirt. and for the price there isnt even an arguement. i paid $69 per tire because i work at a tire shop but they retail for $175.00 per tire. oh and i forgot to mention that they are siped from the factory.

(x2) Mickey MTZ's. Much quieter on the road than the no name pos's I had on there before, and also quieter than the BFG's on Dad's Jeep. No complaints with offroad grip, and tough sidewalls. Even had the Sam's Off Road guys commenting on how well they worked in the rocks.
