If I go with 4:10 gears and a set of 33's, what kind of MPG's will I be able to pull?

What gears would be best for MPG with a 33" tire?

Thanks

EDIT: My truck is a 4.0 5 speed.

4.56s. My buddy who has a 94 w/ a 4.0 gets 13 around town with 3.73s and 33s. It depends on your driving style a lot as well.

Mixed I get 15.5, my rig weighs 4K with me in it. 4.56s are best with 33s.

4.10's,33's, long bed ranger at 4100lb's almost 18mpg on a regular basis with no freeway driving and plenty of slow in town driving.thats with a rolled over, low compression 4.0l. you'll be near 2500 rpm's at 65 in 5th.

what gearing do you have now? 4.10 and 33's is equivalent to 3.55's and stock tires.
my truck came with 3.55's and now its within a mph of having an accurate speedo.plus i got 4.10 axles for cheap(its the lowest factory ratio)

its highway gearing really.if you want great power go 4.56.if you cruise a lot go 4.10

I have 3.27's now with a 31" tire and i pull 18 and I am happy with that.

I want to DD my truck, but I want to build it up too. I just got done with my Mustang and I need sometihng to tinker with....I just don't want to mess it up and not be able to drive it the 60 miles a day to and from work.

then even the 4.10 ,33" combo would be lower geared for you,but not so low i can't commute 50 miles each way if need be.i think you'de really like the combo

HaHa , here I am with 31's whining about lost power with 3.73's!! Planning on finding 4.10's or buying 4.56's.

i run 35's with 4.10's and i get around 18mpg on the highway. at like 65-70mph. I have a 4.0Lsohc auto. extcab 4x4

ive got 33s with 3.73s an get 14.4 on the hwy... i want to re gear it as well to up my mileage to stock an figured since stock was 31s an 3.73s 33s an 4.10s would be a good combo..
