If its a 00+ truck then I would imagine you would see a couple MPG's gain as the front on those trucks is a live axle setup but unfortunately you will ahve to swap out alot more then just slap on some hubs.
Any truck 99 and older will have either auto hubs or manual hubs. both of which do the same thing so the only reason to switch to manual hubs would be cause your auto hubs stopped working or you want something that won't eventually stop working when you need it most...
as near as I've been able to determine the difference in mpg hubs locked Vs Hubs unlocked on a TTB setup is on the order of 1/2mpg
But the TTB front drivetrain is not as free rolling as the 1998-up SLA suspension and therefore the gains on those would be less.
So basically if you have a 1998-00 with the PVH hubs (unreliable is an understatement)
converting to the 01 (or 95--01 Explorer) solid setup isn't really a penalty.
if you have an '01 with the solid stuff all you'd be doing is giving yourself something to complain about
when the small breakeable parts you used to replace the big solid unbreakable parts you originally had
fail.... and that is the one thing you can be certain they will do... FAIL!
