I just got my head unit, amp & sub installed. I am waiting for my door components to show up. I know where I will mount the woofer & tweeter, but just trying to figure out where others have mounted the crossover. Hopefully you guys will make my job easier.

Thanks

i have my crossovers back by my 4ch amp, but i did that so i could switch to active processing when i figure out exactly what i would have to set my xover points at.

thats were i mounted my tweeters, thought it would be easier to go back to stock by just replacing that black piece, instead of trying to find new door panels

THATS EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED MINE i wanted to put them there cause its easier to take off the black piece then the whole door panel if i have a problem, and i didnt want to drill holes in the door panel how did you mount them there?

i took out the 2 screws, popped off the plastic piece, brought it inside and used a 48mm hole saw, you lose 1 of the plastic clips because it directly underneath the hole i drilled, but it still clips back on nice and tight and doesnt rattle with 1 clip missing. it really lifts the sound up higher and it sounds like the tweeters ar pointed right at your ears.

that and it was my 1st time mounting tweeters and i wanted to learn on a piece that would be easy to replace if i screwed it up
as far as mounting, they came with a W-shaped metal piece that holds them in place

i mounted my crossovers next to the amp 'cause I just couldn't find a good place to put them up front.

Cool. I just finished step one....I have a 2006 extended cab Tremor. The only thing "Tremor" left at this point is the door speakers and sub/amp enclosure. I have my Pioneer AVP-H 4000 head unit, Alpine MRP-F300 amp, Polk Audio 10 sub installed. I'm waiting on putting in my component in the front door until I get my fat mat and carpet. I don't think I'm not doing to bad for only having the truck for 4 days.
