im doing a efi 5.0 swap just seeing what for motor mounts everyone is running could anyone help me thanks

Does nobody read anymore? Geez Louise...

Some use swap mounts. Some make mounts.

I'm using Fox body Mustang mounts.

ok well i heard so may different motor mount to use, would the stock 5.0 mounts work.

from what i have heard just stock motor mounts from a v8 explorer will bolt right in... but who knows:D

Stock exploder mounts work for 98 up t-bar. 98 up coil mounts are custom. 97 down mounts are swap mounts or mustang mounts usually.

well i know this sounds dumb but i heard use the stock 2.9 mounts and have a piece of flat metal about 1/2 thick bolt it to the motor and the have a hole for the motor mount.

Custom Brackets, OEM 4.0 SOHC Mounts.

And yea, 97 and down use some combination of Fox and/or SN95 Vert mounts.

If you do the adapter plate thing.

Personally my truck is 25 years old with 142k miles on it. Holding down a sad little 2.8 is one thing, holding down a 302 that puts out twice the torque is a little different.

So it is getting new mounts anyway, why not get ones that fit pretty?

5.0 convertable fox mounts are the same as SN-95 (94-95 GT) mounts.

I'm running the adapter plates on stock 4.0 mounts, and haven't had any problems with them holding my 331. I've ran them for 1.5 years on street/track and no problems, and now I'm using them for my 351/turbo build, but think I'm gonna go solid mount to help with the massive torque gain.
