So not for a Ranger, but for my daughter's Ford Focus - 2003 2.3 Duratec - AT

I literally can't find oe. I don't mind paying for the right part, but if it doesn't exist?

So are there any aftermarket mount brands that can be recommended. Really tough to get info from the internet because it's either "these are great!" or "OE or DIE!"

I've used Anchor mounts it the past but never will again. The rubber in them was too stiff and they transmitted too much vibration. The last pair I got for a 302/351 wouldn't even bolt too the block, the mounts were shaped right but the bolt holes were drilled out of place. If they're all you can find you'll have to give them a try, I hope you have better luck with them than I did.

Yup, I'm finding the basic same things, @- Summit Racing, Anchor Ind- AMI-3103 & Pioneer Ind- 605496. (The Pioneer part is the listed front mount that they are checking on availability of. For some reason it's not cleared for ordering straight through their computer system.)

(I haven't tried "Rock Auto", ...because Summit has never let me down & Rock Auto has.)

So my 24 hour expert training... No one likes Anchor. The passenger top mount is hydraulic, and Anchor (and others) sometimes make it solid rubber which jacks up NVH. Factory durometer is lower than a lot of aftermarket.

There is a Balkamp one at Napa, seems to at least be average and I can interact locally. Online, DEA/Marmon seems to be the least offensive. But Motorcraft? Does not seem to exist. Found a posting in Canada, but I don't think they actually have it.

For a part with a high failure rate, you'd expect a better aftermarket option. I'm pretty sure 95% of the online postings are just repackaged Anchors btw.

The Last Anchor mounts I got were in Napa boxes.

Sometimes Ford's better ideas just don't pan out. That might be why you can't find any, their failure rate was too high and they quit making them. The stiffer rubber may be the aftermarket's solution to a motor mount that in OEM form will not last.

Just like the Ford 2G alternator(fire starters). Most of the time now, when you buy a new aftermarket 2G alternator, you have to do some re-wiring. They do not use the problematic slip on connector that Ford used.

Yeah, it's kind of a catch 22. Really the best part of this is that it isn't too expensive and it's a very easy swap. So at some point I'll roll the dice and pick one, install, see what happens. The locals have "limited lifetime" warranties, so I may just pay extra for that so I can at least go get a new one when it fails lol.
