found these motor mounts on this sight wanted to know if any one has ever use these{www.landlproducts.com}and how good are they.look to be metal to metal trying to get as much info as possible first v-8 ranger plan on building. done alot of v-8 s-10 have decided to go ford crazy.

good company

L&L is a good company, haven't had any expiriance with their motor mounts but their headers are superb....

yea they sell a whole kit for 900.00 {you get hedders, oil filter relocate, oil pan and motor mounts}a little hi but you can buy just the motor mount they look good and nice and strong

I just used them on mine. I thought the same thing that they were solid but they are not. The half that bolts to the engine is rubber (probably made out of something better than rubber). This is how the break down of this half goes; the part that bolts to the motor is metal, then it is rubber between that and the part that bolts to the other half of the mount which is metal. To sum it up on that half of the mount from top to bottom is metal, rubber, metal. They are really easy to use.

do they come with the rubber? also do you have a pic. of them on your truck? do they change the hight for room in the engine bay ?thanks for the info.

hey ironman, make you some solid motor mounts. this way you dont get all the twisting from the torque of the motor and it stays put when you lay into it and you dont get that lag.i can post some pics of mine if you want.

I made my motormount plates, just finished drilling the holes yesterday. nothing fancy---just copied the template after blowing it up to scale. now they are in the truck awaiting the motor that stll is at the machine shop (wtf).....for the first trial fit. i hope theyre right on the money :) lets see the pix of your mounts. i'd like to have other ideas .....just in case i don't like mine.

here are some pics of the passenger side mounts ,they are the same on the drivers side.

What type of steel did you use? Is it steel tubing or solid stock? Doesn't it make your truck feel like a lumber wagon when it's running?

nice motor mounts not bad how strong are those the once that l&l sales look pretty strong just want to be safe.what kind of power you putting out

i used 3/16 steel tubing and a piece of 3/8 steel plate.i have no idea how strong they are,but i am sure they wont be going anywhere.

ironman, i am putting out around 410 ponies and around 396 ft.lbs. of torque.

red85, it doesnt ride like a cadillac, but it doesnt ride that bad either. i like to feel and hear every chop the motor puts out.i am a adrenaline junkie, shit like that turns me on.:icon_surprised::icon_hornsup:
