Hey just got my b2 back together again. I rebuild the motor and everything is new on her. I have put about a 150 miles on the rebuild now, and I went for a longer drive yesterday, and I was going up a hill and the motor started to knock. It only knocks going up hills, flat fine, freeway fine, I run good gas, 91 octane. Any thoughts?

After a few miles You are supposed to change oil like 500 miles or so I think. That is od it only does it going up hill

Sounds like its pinging. Double check your timing with the spout wire unplugged. Its the single wire comming to the dizzy. Also when was the last time u changed the fuel filter? If it was an engine or oil problem it would do it all the time. Pinging is most noticable under heavy loads such as going uphill. Not sure if that's the prob. But I'd start with the timing and fuel filter. Sounds like the timing is advanced tooi far
