have any of you ever used a motor cycle jack as a transmission jack. I know of a good deal on one and was thinking it might work.

It should work. You just won't have the adjustability of a regular trans jack.

I don't think a motorcycle jack has the support ears or the securing chain that a transmission jack does either. Easily over come with some wooden blocks and a cargo strap or two. The blocks may have a potential to slip though. IIRC, motorcycle jacks usually have a rubber pad of some sort that may make that concern a mute point.

better then a reg jack.

Motorcycles have transmissions

my new one wont. it just has go.

With only go and no stop it would be a perpetual motion machine and would require the use of quantum zero point energy.... I think yamaha makes something like that.

there are brakes.

but transmission.......all go.

no...zoooomy zoooom zooom zoooooooooooomkmmmm zoooooooommmm woooooshhhhh...
