We like the picture.

Lost power for about 15 hours.

Had the same thing happen to my 95 Frontier. Strange thing the insurance company wouldn't pay to remove the tree, I had to cut the tree off the truck. After that they listed it as totaled and sent someone to pick up the truck.

We have one heck of a widow maker hanging up in the huge silver maple in the back yard. The only reason it hasn’t been tended to is because it is very securely lodged by a Y fork over another large branch. That and someone would have to climb the tree. There is no way to get a bucket truck or JLG back there to work on it from my yard or the neighbor’s.

Go redneck and shoot it down.

It might take a 25 round box of shotgun slugs to make it happen and dealing with the police for shooting in town.

Tie a knife to the branch, claim self defense. You'll be fine.

The whole tree needs to come down... I need a bigger tractor to pull that off.

You can’t just pull it/them down with the ranger?

And that concept that lightning never strikes twice? I was Ground Zero for the Dunwoody tornado in 98, and I got hit by lightning again last year. Our place in the islands gets hit every other year...

No, it is a pin oak with a 4’ diameter trunk.
