Moron at the nursery dumped in way too much river rock!

I have put way too much in my bed before. I had to haul a bunch of bagged rock like you did. I put at least 50 bags of that river rock and even with my suspension lift and 33's I was really surprised I did not bottom out. The rear sat really low and it made it home!!! That truck was so smooth over bumps. I wish the truck was that smooth all the time...lol

The good news is that Rangers are tougher than they look. If it was a Taco, Chevy or Nissan, you've have to junk the truck afterwards!

You should have belted the tractor driver and said "hows that for respect" and then tell the management you did it because he assaulted you with his tractor and proceeded to try and damage your truck. Then look them square in the eye and say 'its not my fault he aint getting laid, whys he being so mean to me?"

Oh dude that is not even a big deal. I have had my F150 loaded down to where the bump stops are touching the axle many times and it has never hurt it. Last summer I built a new 8x10 covered deck and had ALL of the materials for it in the truck in one load.

Just unload it and don't worry about it any more.

Yea!!!! You should have Ripped off his head and crapped down his windpipe.
The Navy UDT way!!!!! Amen brother....I hate violence....lol

While I agree with all the stuff about what you should have done while you were still at the nursery, as long as you springs resumed their natural shape once unloaded and you don't get a vibration driving now I'd say you are probably fine.

I'd still go complain to the manager.

I tried to complain at the register, but then the tractor driver came up and proceeded to argue with me and get aggressive. At that point in time I felt it was time to show some discretion and take my leave rather than see things escalate.

I agree, it would have been best to have them help me unload, but I felt the safest way out of the situation was just to leave. The only employees on site were him and the young woman at the register.

Lessons have been learned. In the future, I will not go there. Any other place I go I will stand in front of the tractor, force him to turn it off, and give him specific, detailed directions. After confirming his understanding of said directions, I will then allow him to load my truck.

Don't let that punk intimidate you.

Employees my foot. If he had decked you the PoPo would have been there. And the young woman had been a witness.

At the least call the place and set up a time when the manager is there. Show them the pics! (and the receipt :derisive: )

If he shows up and actually attacks you I guarantee he'll be fired at the absolute least (unless he's the boss's son or something, which hopefully the boss has more sense than that)

As a last resort - if he does attack you, cheat.

If you let this go he'll keep doing it to everyone else.

I agree that the gentlemen was rude first and foremost. The register situation, I would have let him say his peace then proceed with the conversation. If he would have interrupted again then I would have got 3 ways from shytty with him and would revert back to my military ways. A good old fashion can of whoop ass would be in order then. I would definitely talk to the manager though. Someone needs to put that biatch is his place. What is the address of the nursery? I will come take care of it.

why didnt you get a shovel and throw some off

i agree, i would've opened the tailgate and dumped the gravel out til i got what i wanted. what are they gonna do? make you clean it up? def dont go back there

We sell top soil where I work and i'm usually telling customers dirt is cheaper than fixing the truck. They all leave loaded like that afraid not to get all they can.

I would have left the truck right where it was and immediately get the manager out there. And make THEM shovel 1/2 a yard out of the truck.

Then they'd be pissed off at dufus-boy for giving you more stuff than you paid for and that alone might even be enough to get him fired. AND piss the manager off for having to fix his shit.

X's 2. And respect is earned, not given freely! Sounds like he doesn't deserve it!

PS froggy, can you say anger management classes??:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_thumby:

just think, if it did do damage and you can hold them responsible, you get 1/2 yard of free rock and a new suspension:icon_thumby:
