i need some ideas here. i swapped an engine in my truck. it was out of a 04 manual ranger, and mine is an 04 automatic. i finished the swap a while ago and it runs good first started then starts to run rough. it bogs down and seems to be misfiring and has no power. i ran out of things to do to it. i put a new tank of gas in it, seafoamed it, changed injectors, new plugs and wires(helped a lot but not enough) changeD the coil, oil change. there are no lights on on the dash. not sure what else to try. could the fact that it came outa a manual have anything to do with it? :dunno: ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

It shouldn't matter if you used your original computer.

Check the exhaust flow out of the tailpipe, maybe swing by a muffler shop and see if they will point a thermometer at it, exhaust/cat could be clogged. You can tell by the inlet being hotter than outlet. Some cats glow red. That'd be a bad thing.

How old are the O2s? Scanguage II and other inexpensive scanners can display the fuel trims, O2s, IAT, ECT, etc. Can be useful to see the live data on these OBDII models.

i know the exhaust is fie cuz i just replaced the whole exhaust. the O2 sensors are original so ill look into that. thanks for the help.
