Hi y'all. Figured I should do this as long as I've already been bugging folks. My toy is a 1988 Bronco II XLT 4X4. This is my second BII. My first I didn't have the means to properly take care of so I sold it when the second Mitzu tranny started going bad and I found out both heads were cracked. The current one was essentially a family pass around on my wifes side. The youngest brother of my father in law bought it in '98. Drove it for a while till the 2nd or 3rd tranny started acting up. He tried to give it to his daughter, she didn't like it, so it sat for a while. Than he gave it to their mother. She didn't like it either, so it was given to my father in law. They brought it to me, I put in new brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) and wheel bearings on the front, O2 sensor, fuel pressure regulator, and a basic tune up. I paid for the parts and did all the labor so they had a vehicle to get them on their feet. When her son blew up the A4LD, they backed it in my driveway and put a note on the windshield "If you fix me you can keep me." since I already put a couple hundred into it. That is the story. So now I am working on an M5R1 swap, rebuilding the interior, and trying to tourniqute the motor to stop it from bleeding to death, essentially trying to make it livable. After this, will either be a motor swap to a 4.0 or possably a 2.9 Cosworth 24V.
