missing on 4,5,6 cylinders

hey everybody iv been having some serious issues with my poor little vulcan and it all just started this week. Its been idling very rough, and im getting severe misfires on cylinders 4,5,6 i beleive my scanner said, and im getting knocking right around 3000 rpm and she is really sluggish and slow very little power even in the bottom end before its knocks its way worse than normal can you guys help me out with some ideas for stuff to look for please? i checked in the forums but i couldn't find anything that targets these symptoms.

Possibly the coil pack. Try and pick one up from a junk yard so you don't have to pay $80+ for one. I scooped one up a while back for $20. When is the last time the plugs and wires were changed?
 
You can ohm out the coil pack to determine if it has failed. Have you checked the plugs? Have you had an over heat or near over heat? Have you noticed any coolant loss without a clear leak?
When you say knock you mean lower end or the engine misfire just over 3k Rpms? If you are in park this is normal as it is the rev limiter. If not it is a problem.
 
shes a five speed so its when im just cruzen but theirs shit for power in the bottom end i did look at my plugs yesterday they are shot and its kinda running lean and i do have a bad wire but i can't figure out the knock part but i did get some other codes like one for the cam position sensor and i think one for maf and a P-0300 and no coolant leaks and its never over heated on me yet could plugged up cats do this? and i think their might too be an exhaust leak on drivers side
 
LOL, you forgot to mention ALL of that in your first post. Do your plugs and wires first, clean your MAF, and search around for cam pos. sensor symtoms.
 
actually the maf and camshaft position sensor only came up once then i deleted it and never seen it again i also think my collector right after the drivers side might be leaking can this cause all sorts of horrible problems too it also got a new code that bank is lean and bank 2 is rich what can this mean?

You have all kinds of problems, I don't even know where to start. Wait for someone else to chime in, or you might want to think about taking it in.
 
turns out my drivers side miniature CAT blew apart inside and plugged up the down stream one right before the big collector that turns into the BIG cat so i just cut out the plugged up one and took out the rest of the old debris in the up drivers side one now she runs beautiful also put on new plugs and wires :) yayyyyy lol now she makes power again!
 
Are those actually miniature cats or are they something else altogether? Why would they have 4 cats? did you replace it or just weld in strait pipe?
 
you bet their miniature cats the one on drivers side i left cause its just fell apart then the one that crosses under the transmission to join into the Y pipe i just cut out and welded in a new straight piece of pipe i think my mileage has gone down but i don't have a check engine light and im still running on winter gas since i live in canada lol so i will soon find out!
 
Ya I think I'm gana do the cut mine out to. I have the same issue as you did and don't want to pay the $300 to replace them.
